Who cuts your kids hair?

14 Jul

So our little guy is almost 10 months old and I was really waiting until he was a year old to cut his hair but we really couldn’t wait any longer! It was so long in front that it was coming down into his eyes and even when I brushed it to the side, it still managed to be unruly and get in his face! So, on the 4th of July, the hubby and I tackled haircut #1.

I figured it wouldn’t be so bad if we sat him in the bumbo, hubby would distract and I would quickly comb wet, then cut his precious little locks. Much easier said than done! I really don’t know what I was thinking and why I thought a 9.5 month old would sit still, hold his head straight and let momma cut his hair.

All in all, he did a good job and was patient, but his hair cut is less than perfect. At least it looks cute from the back, right? =)

Do you cut any of your kids hair? your husbands? I would imagine it would be a way to save some $$ if you had a household of boys and could use an electric trimmer and cut all their hair that way. I’m not so sure I would trust myself to cut anyones hair now that I see how really bad good I am at it!

I tried to cut their hair myself, it didn’t go that well. After a particularly disastrous attempt when everyone had something to say about it, we started going to the hairdresser. Your haircut looks just fine from the back.
